Best lineup strategy for Browns-Falcons Madden simulation Showdown

The Browns and Falcons square off in a Monday Madden simulation at DraftKings. We break down Showdown strategy to consider.

The Cleveland Browns and Atlanta Falcons will face off in a Madden simulation Monday at 4 p.m. ET. We break down the ideal Showdown lineup strategy for the DFS contest. You can set your lineup and play in the DraftKings contest before kickoff.

Captain’s Pick

Odell Beckham Jr., Browns ($14,700)

These two teams met three games ago and the Browns won 42-35 in a barn burner where all of the top players put up huge games. Beckham Jr. was one of those players, as he caught 239 yards and FOUR touchdowns for 57.9 DK points. He’ll probably have negative points this time around, but he is so boom or bust that I would love to catch another insane upside game in a great matchup.

Flex options

Calvin Ridley, Falcons ($6,200)

The top upside plays are Beckham Jr., Julio Jones, Devonta Freeman and Matt Ryan. You probably can’t fit all of those guys into your roster though. Ridley has decent upside but isn’t consistent. If he has a big game, there’s a good chance Jones won’t have a blow up game, so taking that chance is one option.

David Njoku, Browns ($6,400)

Njoku has followed suit with other tight ends in the simulation by putting up better numbers than in real life. He has four games over 17 DK points over his last six games and five over 12 DK points.

Devonta Freeman, Falcons ($8,200)

Freeman caught two touchdowns and ran in another against the Browns in that last game. He is my other thought for the Captain’s slot, as he has a lot of upside, having hit 35 DK points three times over his last nine games. That’s not a great percentage, but it’s also really tough to get 35 DK points.
