Two featherweights with some talent to grow look to crack the Top 15 of the rankings with Ricardo Ramos taking on Lerone Murphy at UFC on ESPN 13 tomorrow from Fight Island in Abu Dhabi.

Ramos is 14-2 overall, and 5-1 in the UFC with two stoppage wins in the promotion. The 24-year-old Brazilian does most of his damage on the mat at a BJJ practitioner, with only 3.05 strikes per minute landed, but 2.13 takedowns per 15 minutes with 64% accuracy while in the black octagon. This will be his first fight since November 16th of last year, when he defeated Luiz Eduardo Garagorri with a first round rear-naked choke.

Murphy’s only UFC fight was a split decision draw against Zubaira Tukhugov last September, the only blemish on his otherwise 8-0 record. The Stockport, England trains out of the All Powers Gym in that city, and at 28 years of age he has a stiff challenge on the way to what would be his first victory in the world’s biggest MMA promotion.
