Best lineup strategy for Falcons vs. Bucs Madden simulation Showdown

Jameis Winston and Matt Ryan should battle it out through the air in this Madden sim.

The Atlanta Falcons and Tampa Bay Buccaneers will face off in a rainy Madden sim Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. ET. We break down the ideal Showdown lineup strategy for the DFS contest. You can set your lineup and play at DraftKings before kickoff.

Captain’s Picks

The passing game should be big in this one, so I’d bank on Jameis Winston ($15,600) to air it out with his pair of star receivers. Both WR starters have high ceilings, and Winston has gotten a lot from the tight end position as well. You won’t get much on the ground from Tampa Bay in most cases. You’ll have to risk the weather messing with his accuracy though.

The Falcons’ top choice is a toss-up between Matt Ryan ($16,800) and Julio Jones ($17,400). Devonta Freeman is less desirable against the Buccaneers’ tough run defense, but Ryan and Jones could both get going against a weak secondary though. Ryan might be safer given his better accuracy at every level.

Flex Men

Dare Ogunbowale ($2,800) isn’t as good of a PPR option as Freeman, but he does have a much cheaper price tag. He makes the most of his limited reps. Austin Hooper ($7,000) is a more expensive flex option, but his ceiling is significantly higher than Ogunbowale’s, even with most of the wide receivers.
