Two ranked featherweights are the main event tonight when Calvin Kattar takes on Dan Ige tonight on Fight Island. Should have you have either fighter on your DFS roster?

DraftKings DFS Salaries

Calvin Kattar: $9,100
Dan Ige: $7,100

Kattar is the -315 favorite, with Ige at +240 as the underdog.

Kattar is a very active fighter that averages 5.29 strikes per minute, while absorbing 6.46 per minute as well. He also tends to stop people when he wins, with his last four victories coming via KO or TKO, two of those in the first round. He also defends takedown attempts reasonably well at 77%, which matters more against this specific opponent.

Ige is 14-2 in MMA, but is more of a mat-based competitor with 2.15 takedowns per 15 minutes in the octagon. Though he has won six in a row, the problem for DFS purposes is four of those were by decision, and none of those opponents were as skilled as Kattar.

This is a tough one to handicap, and there might not be a lot of edge either way. Ige has never been stopped, and Kattar tends to knock people out. Both fighters average over 80 DFS points per octagon appearance, but this is such a competitive matchup they might hamper each other’s ability to score.

The main event might be an outstanding fight, but there might not be a ton of DFS value here.
