Two featherweights in desperate need of a win to stay in the UFC square up tonight when Jared Gordon faces Chris Fishgold on Fight Island in Abu Dhabi. And for Fishgold it’s been a rough start already, as he came in four pounds over on the scales yesterday and will forfeit 20% of his purse to Gordon.

DraftKings DFS Salaries

Jared Gordon: $8,300
Chris Fishgold: $7,900

Gordon is now favored on the money line at -150, with Fishgold at +120.

Gordon is 15-4 overall, but just 3-3 in the UFC and has lost three of his last four. In his last bout he was knocked out in 86 seconds by Charles Oliveira last November. “Flash” Gordon is very active statistically however, with 6.26 strikes per minute landed as well as 2.98 takedowns per 15 minutes of ring time. He’s mostly fought at lightweight but is a featherweight tonight, and averages 71.4 DFS points per outing in the UFC.

Fishgold is 1-2 in the UFC, but 18-3-1 overall. He suffered an anaconda choke from Makwan Amirkhani on June 1st, and gets back in the ring 410 days later for the last fight on his initial UFC contract. He’s had less than 20 minutes of fight time in the octagon, and averages just 2.53 strikes per minute, but managed five takedowns in his second-round submission win over Daniel Teymur in his first win in the promotion. He averages 46.7 DFS points.

A guy that’s extremely active and favored vs. someone that can’t make weight and hasn’t fought in over a year? This looks like DFS gold to us. We’ll have Gordon on most of our rosters tonight, and he might be the best value on the entire card.
