UPDATE Noon ET: As of lunch time on race day, Bowyer is now the second most bet driver with 18% of handle to DeBenedetto’s 17%. Each has 14% of total bets. Meanwhile, Aric Almirola remains the most bnet, with 28% of handle and 21% of total bets.
NASCAR is headed to Bristol Wednesday evening for its annual All Star Open and All Star Race. The Open starts at 7 p.m. and features 12 drivers competing for three spots in the Race, which starts at 8:30 p.m. There are three segments in the short Open race, and the winner of each segment claims a spot in the Race field, along with the fan vote winner.
The betting public can bet on both races at DraftKings Sportsbook, and Aric Almirola has emerged as the favorite of bettors. Clint Bowyer opened as the favorite to win at +400, but nearly a third of all money bet on the race at the book is on Almirola. He opened at +550 and heads into race day at +500.
Bubba Wallace is getting some love with slightly longer odds. He is +2000 and has gotten 7% of handle and 6% of bets. He’s been extremely high profile over the past month, and one has to wonder how much that is influencing bettors. He finished 10th at Bristol earlier this year, and that was the highest he’s performed there in four years on the Cup Series.
Here is a ranking of the top ten most bet drivers for Wednesday evening’s NASCAR All-Star Open at DraftKings Sportsbook.
