The Cleveland Browns and Indianapolis Colts are set to play in a Madden sim Friday at 2:00 p.m. ET. We break down the ideal Showdown lineup strategy for the DFS contest. You can set your lineup and play at DraftKings before kickoff.
Captain’s Picks
The Browns have consistently had one of the lowest rated defenses this sim season, so it’s only right to go with the Colts’ most dynamic player as a captain. Indianapolis’ ground game isn’t strong, so expect T.Y. Hilton ($14,700) to carry a large chunk of the offensive workload. He can get open all over the field, and Jacoby Brissett throws the ball nonstop.
The Browns have a plethora of options to throw to, but you can get the best of Odell Beckham Jr. and others by captaining Baker Mayfield ($16,800). While the signal caller doesn’t have the best awareness, the talent around him gives him the potential to have monster games.
Flex Men
Both sides here have quality PPR running backs for cheap. Cleveland has Kareem Hunt ($3,000) while Indianapolis has Nyheim Hines ($4,400). Hines is cheaper and probably has a higher floor because he’s playing behind Marlon Mack rather than Nick Chubb.
Eric Ebron ($8,800) doesn’t have the sam skill set as Hilton, but is among the cream of the crop in terms of receptions among tight ends. Brissett doesn’t have as many options as Mayfield, so he’ll likely make more use of his tight end.
