The Houston Texans and Green Bay Packers will face off in a simulated Madden 20 game Friday 10 p.m., and DraftKings will have DFS contests available for the matchup. We break down the ideal showdown lineup strategy for the contest, which you can play at DraftKings.

Captain’s Pick

Marquez Valdes-Scantling, Packers ($8,400)

Scantling has been a strong play of late and he and the rest of the Packers passing game is better at home. This matchup is a strong one for Davante Adams and Aaron Rodgers and I could easily see going with Adams in the Captain’s slot, but if I can find a way to throw more high-upside guys in there with Valdes-Scantling’s value price, I’ll lean his way.

Flex Men

Davante Adams, Packers ($10,800)

Adams has 15 of his 24 touchdowns in Green Bay and averages 18.1 DK points at home. He’s probably safest wide receiver play when in Green Bay, but he did put up five receptions for 78 yards and two touchdowns when these teams met in Houston the last time around.

Aaron Rodgers, Packers ($11,400)

Sticking with the Packers passing game when at home, Rodgers has 37 touchdown passes in 17 games at home compared to 26 touchdown passes in 18 road games. His upside still hasn’t been as high as DeShaun Watson’s, but this is a matchup he can work on pushing that upside as high as possible.

Deshaun Watson, Texans ($12,200)

Watson averages 22.6 DK points on the road and gets a big chunk of those points with his legs, giving his floor a nice bump. I’ve put mostly high-priced plays here, so you’ll likely need to punt a position or two if you use them, but it’s not the worst plan.
