The New England Revolution and DC United will face off in Friday’s first MLS is Back Tournament game at 8 p.m. ET in the MLS is Back Tournament. DraftKings has DFS contests available for the game, and we go over the best Showdown strategies for the below. You can set your lineups here.

Captain’s Picks

The Revolution created a ton of chances in their first match but only scored one goal. However, I don’t think DC United will be able to hold them back. Gustavo Bou ($17,700) and Carles Gil ($16,200) have to be the top captain’s options in this one, but I’d give the edge to Gil. Gil led New England in goals and assists last year and notched 12 shot assists in his last outing. That will be hard to replicate, but his playmaking could make him the most dangerous player available.

Although Frederic Brillant ($8,100) is center back, he’s scored in each of his last two games and leads DC United in goals. He should be very busy against New England’s talented attack and has the ability to create for others as well. While he’s a riskier captain’s choice, he allows you to fill up the flex with Revolution players.

Flex

Brandon Bye ($6,200) can play every position on defense and would be nicely paired with Alexander Buttner ($5,600). Bye is more of a threat as a passer sending in crosses while Buttner’s physicality is good for drawing fouls. Both are cheap options with solid floors that can be stacked with the best attacking players.
