Update 3:10 p.m.: It looks like the public is starting to find Dolidze, as while the percentage of cash backing him hasn’t changed, he’s added 9% to the total tickets backing him to win tonight over what was there this morning.

Updated betting splits

Roman Dolidze: -167 (70% of action, 71% of bets)
Khadis Ibragimov: +135 (30% of action, 29% of bets)

Roman Dolidze looks to be a problem for everyone at light heavyweight if his independent career is any indication, and tonight he’ll get a fighter looking for his first UFC win in Khadis Ibragimov. The two get together on Fight Island as part of the UFC Fight Night festivities this evening on ESPN+.

Dolidze hasn’t fought since December of 2018, but is a perfect 6-0 for his career and all of his wins are via stoppage with three submissions and notched three knockouts. The 32-year-old is a grappler from the nation of Georgia, and looks like a monster on his highlight video. He served a one-year suspension for PED’s that ended in March of this year, and is now eligible to make his UFC debut.

Ibragimov is 8-0 outside of the UFC, but 0-2 in it. His last two losses were a result of him not being able to compete with his opponent on the ground, as both Da Un Jung and Ed Herman beat him there. Dolidze is an accomplished wrestler capable of taking advantage of that weakness, though Ibragimov has executed three takedowns in his brief UFC career.

We don’t want to read too much into guys that fight tomato cans on the independent circuit, but Dolidze looks like an absolute terror. He’s the total package, he’s rested, and apparently he’s willing to cheat if necessary. We’ll let him deal with another USADA violation later, and take very quick victory here if possible.
