The Indianapolis Colts and Kansas City Chiefs will face off in a simulated Madden 20 game Thursday, and DraftKings will have DFS contests available for the matchup. We break down the ideal showdown lineup strategy for the contest, which you can play at DraftKings.

Captain’s Pick

Patrick Mahomes, Chiefs ($17,700)

Mahomes might not be the best pick as Captain, as it would be nice to hit on whoever he’s throwing to the most, like Tyreek Hill or Travis Kelce, but I’m willing to pay up for Mahomes in this matchup for a strong floor and top upside. He’s not a consistently high scorer but he averages 21.3 DK points at home and the Dolphins are a perfect matchup.

Flex Men

Tyreek Hill, Chiefs ($10,600)

I could see going with Hill in the Captain’s spot here, as his upside is higher than Mahomes’, but he does have a much lower floor. It’s hard to pass on Hill completely, as he averages 20.6 DK points at home with 90 yards per game and 12 touchdowns in 15 matchups. Over his last three home games he’s hit 29.7, 34.2, and 21.3 DK points and that 34 point game was against a tough Bills pas defense.

Nyheim Hines, Colts ($2,200)

Hines is inconsistent, but that’s okay since we’re paying bottom dollar for his services. The Chiefs have some of the worst coverage linebackers in the league and the Chiefs should have a lead throughout, which gives Hines a real chance at good receptions. Plus, we really need his value to help us get Mahomes and Hill.

Zach Pascal, Colts ($5,000)

Pascal is another risky play, but he has had some spike games and has two games over 20 DK points over his last three. He’s also been better on the road with 11.4 DK points per game. If this game ends up giving the Colts good passing stats with the Chiefs taking an early lead, Pascal will be part of that.
