Khamzat Chimaev was last in the octagon last Wednesday on Fight Island, but he heads right back into the cage this Saturday when he faces Rhys McKee at UFC on ESPN 14 this Saturday only 10 days after his first UFC victory.
Chimaev is 7-0 as an MMA fighter, and has yet to see the third round in his career with three KO’s and four submissions. The 26-year-old from Sweden dominated in his win over John Phillips last week, with a total strikes landed advantage of 124-2, and two perfect takedowns from the Swede gave him full control at all times. It was such an impressive UFC debut, he is right back at it just 10 days later.
McKee is by far the biggest underdog on Fight Island on any of the four cards. “Skeletor” is 10-2-1 with all 10 victories coming via stoppage. It’s the UFC debut for the Northern Irishman, who had won three straight in the Cage Warriors promotion before getting the call from Dana White. But it’s a tall order the 24-year-old faces according to the oddsmakers.
