Winslow has yet to make his Grizzlies debut after being acquired from the Miami Heat prior to the 2020 NBA Trade Deadline. Winslow had been dealing with a back injury when he was traded to the Grizz and then the pandemic hit. Memphis had expected Winslow to hit the ground running in Orlando with the season restart, but this is a major setback.
The Grizzlies are currently 1.5-point underdogs in their first game back against the Portland Trail Blazers next Friday. Now, we didn’t see how Winslow looked with his new team and what type of impact he would have had is unknown. We do, however, know the type of player Winslow is when healthy, a versatile wing who can score and defend. That’s obviously a tough piece to lose if you’re the Grizzlies, trying to hold onto the No. 8 seed in the Western Conference. We could see that line move more in favor of the Blazers.
