Two welterweights that have been dropped by the UFC previously only to once again earn contracts take to the octagon on Saturday night when Denmark’s Nicolas Dalby faces Canada’s Jesse Ronson live from Fight Island at UFC on ESPN 14 this Saturday from the Flash Forum in Abu Dhabi.

Dalby is back in the UFC after a 1-2-1 stint in the promotion from 2015-16. He won his return via unanimous decision win over Alex Oliveira last September, and competed in the Cage Warriors promotion in the interim. The Norwegian is 18-3 overall with 10 stoppages, though he’s gone the distance in every win and loss in a UFC octagon. He landed 31 strikes and a takedown in his win over Oliveira, with four passes in the ground game as well.

Ronson is 21-10, and comes back to the black octagon at 34 years of age. He was 0-3 in his first stint from 2013-14, brutally losing by split decision three times. The London, Ontario native has won six of his last eight fights, five of them by stoppage. During his first stint in the league he averaged 3.09 strikes per minute and 0.67 takedowns per 15 minutes of cage time.
