The Rapids are holding on for dear life and sit at the bottom of Group C with an 0-2 record while Minnesota is second to Sporting KC. DraftKings has DFS available for the game, and we go over the best Showdown strategies for the below. Set your lineups here.
Captain’s Picks
Jan Gregus ($15,000) has continued to send in plenty of crosses. While no one has converted the balls he’s playing in for a score in tournament play, he’s creating opportunities left and right. Colorado has given up more goals than any team in the group and has given up a ton of points to midfielders.
Kevin Molina will be a game-time decision because of a hamstring injury and Jack Price has been suspended after being sent off with a red card in his last match. That means the pressure could be on for Kei Kamara (12,300). The forward registered an assist as a sub while his squad was two men down last week. Colorado’s reigning scoring leader will be depended upon heavily pressure Minnesota’s keeper and should get the start.
Flex
Ethan Finlay ($6,600) could be depended upon more as an attacker if Molina doesn’t play. He was second to Darwin Quintero in assists last season and chipped in with a few assists as well. Romaine Metanire ($6,200) has been a progressive fullback who’s cracked 10 DKFP in his last two matches. Metanire has sent in eight crosses in two tournament games and should keep producing at a similar level moving forward.
