Kings F/C Richaun Holmes made headlines a few weeks ago when he was the first player to leave the NBA bubble. Holmes claims he left the bubble to go pick up food delivery, breaking the rules and being forced to go into quarantine. Now that he’s out and the Kings are set to play some games, Holmes revealed the order to reporters: Chicken Wings.

Now, all we know is that Holmes was leaving the bubble to get some wings. But from where? I’m not familiar with Disney World or where the NBA players are situated inside ESPN’s Wide World of Sports Complex. A quick google maps search reveals a few places that Holmes could have been ordering from. Two that stand out are Kentucky Fried Chicken and Buffalo Wild Wings, which are both within a few miles of the Complex the players are staying at.
Update: DK Nation resident expert on all things Florida, Collin Sherwin, has informed me that Miller’s Ale House is the go-to spot for wings. So if Holmes received some good intel, that may be the mystery wings he ordered.
This also tells us a lot about the type of food the NBA players are being provided in the bubble. Sure, some of it seems OK and I’m sure it’s relatively healthy. But everybody needs a little cheat day here and there. We don’t know if Holmes ordered from KFC or BWW, but if it was one of those places — or another fast food joint — it says something about the food they are getting inside the bubble.
