The Chicago Cubs and Cincinnati Reds will play Thursday at 6:10 p.m. ET. Righty Yu Darvish will face fellow righty Luis Castillo in Cincinnati. DraftKings will have Showdown DFS contests available for the matchup. We break down the ideal lineup strategy below, and you can play here.

Captain’s Picks

Luis Castillo, P, Reds: $14,400

Playing a pitcher against the Cubs in Great American Ballpark in late July isn’t the safest plan, but Castillo looked great fanning 11 Tigers in six innings in his debut. All of his strikeouts ended on swinging third strikes. This is a much tougher test of course, but there should be enough strikeouts to give his numbers a boost even if things don’t go completely to plan. The Cubs have struck out 24 percent of the time against righties so far this season, which is right on pace for their numbers last year.

Mike Moustakas, 2B/3B, Reds: $11,100

Moustakas is off to a fast start, as he has five hits in ten at bats, including two home runs and six RBIs. Over the last three seasons, the lefty has hit righties for a .345 wOBA and a .255 ISO. Darvish can be impossible to hit at times, but of the two starters, I rather put my hitters up against Darvish this time around.

Utility Picks

Kyle Schwarber, OF, Cubs: $8,600

Schwarber is a righty killer, hitting a .279 ISO against them over the last two seasons. I don’t love the matchup, but in Great American Ballpark the ball travels well and if anyone is going to take Castillo deep in this game it’s the Cubs two power lefties, Schwarber or Anthony Rizzo.

Shogo Akiyama, OF, Reds: $4,800

Akiyama has hit in the lead off spot for the Reds in their last two games and last night he had two hits and a run against the Cubs. He should get another shot at leadoff tonight against righty Yu Darvish, and at his price, it’s hard to pass on him if he batting first.
