The WNBA season is just getting underway, and Thursday night’s games will wrap up with a matchup between the Connecticut Sun and Los Angeles Sparks. The Sun are 0-2 and looking to get their first win of the season while the Sparks are looking to rebound from a crushing defeat at the hands of the Chicago Sky. We break down the best Showdown DFS picks on DraftKings below. Set your lineup here.

Captain’s Picks

You have to get Alyssa Thomas ($15,700) and DeWanna Bonner ($14,700) in this game, but choosing which one to captain will be difficult. Both are averaging 46.1 DKFP per game and should get a boatload of minutes. Their stats are virtually identical, but Thomas has a slight rebounding edge right now. The Sparks have strong post play and Bonner is able to be more effective from the perimeter, so I’d give her a slight edge.

FLEX Options

Candace Parker ($8,800) has consistently been one of the better rebounders in the league, and Connecticut is giving up more defensive rebounds per game (31.5) than any other team. Look for her to battle it out with Thomas on the blocks. It’ll be a different ball game if she gets hot shooting the basketball.

Brittney Sykes ($6,800) has’t played a ton of minutes through the two games the Sparks have played, as both resulted in blowouts. However, she’s cracked 20 DKFP in both her appearances while being very efficient from the field. She’s done a little bit of everything and and could see a stat boost if the game is close.
