The Boston Red Sox and New York Yankees will play Friday at 7:05 p.m. ET. Red Sox righty Ryan Weber will take on lefty Jordan Montgomery at Yankee Stadium. DraftKings will have Showdown DFS contests available for the matchup. We break down the ideal lineup strategy below, and you can play here.

Captain’s Picks

Giancarlo Stanton, OF, Yankees: $15,600

The Red Sox will Start Ryan Weber, who has a 3-10 record, 5.5 K/9, and 1.30 HR/9 to go along with a 5.34 ERA in his short career. We know what Stanton can do and he’s been doing it with two home runs, a double, five RBIs, and three runs through four games this season.

Utility Picks

Christian Vazquez, C, Red Sox: $8,400

Vazquez has four homers through five games and hits southpaw’s well, with a .282 ISO and .373 wOBA last season. Jordan Montgomery, when healthy, has been a useful pitcher, but the team doesn’t appear ready to give him many innings. We’ll likely see plenty of relievers from the Yankees tonight and they haven’t been great. So far, the bullpen has allowed 1.76 HR/9 and a 4.11 ERA.

Luke Voit, 1B, Yankees: $6,600

So far in his short career (591 plate appearances), Voit has hit lefties and righties equally well. He holds a .368 wOBA vs. righties and .370 vs. lefties. Last night he hit his second home run of the season, this time with the bases full.

Aaron Hicks, OF, Yankees: $7,800

Switch hitting Hicks hit righties for a .342 wOBA and .261 ISO in 171 plate appearances last season. That was much higher than his norm, so these numbers could be a mirage, but it’s still a good sign. He hasn’t done much so far, but did hit a two-run homer off a righty Asher Wojciechowski Wednesday.
