In-form Arsenal hosts Leicester City in Tuesday’s game of the day in the English Premier League (EPL). Both sides enter the game coming off impressive wins over the weekend. Arsenal went to the Wolves’ home turf and ended the home side’s winning run with a 2-0 victory, while Leicester recorded their first win since the restart by beating Crystal Palace 3-0 at the King Power Stadium. Leicester needs the points to strengthen their grip on the third spot, while Arsenal needs the win to keep alive their hopes of qualifying for European football next season.

Arsenal to extend unbeaten run at home against Leicester
Leicester’s 3-0 win at home against Crystal Palace was a timely win. It kept Brendan Rodgers’ side third in the table, and with Chelsea beating Watford by the same score hours later, it means Leicester’s advantage over Chelsea in the fight to finish third is down to just one point.
Arsenal’s 2-0 win at the Wolves boosted their hopes of playing European football next season. Mikel Arteta’s Gunners have collected a maximum nine points from their last three and they have done so in style. Their three wins have all been to nil, and they have scored in both halves in all three while winning all six halves. There could well be a late goal in this encounter.
Arsenal has a habit of scoring late goals recently, scoring in the 86th minute at Southampton, in the 81st minute at home to Norwich and in the 86th minute at the Wolves. The Gunners conceded goals in injury time in their two matches prior to that at Manchester City and at Brighton. In addition, their opponents are used to late goals in their games, too. In their last four matches, Leicester has scored twice in the 90th minute or later, including at Watford and at home to Crystal Palace, while conceding an equalizer to Watford deep into injury time.
In their last 20 league games, both sides have scored 12 first half goals, while Arsenal has scored 19 after halftime compared to Leicester’s 20. There is plenty of talent in both squads for BTTS (-155) to land in this fixture. Leicester has conceded the first goal once in their last five league games, while Arsenal has scored the opening goal in their last four. The first goal in this game could be crucial, and if Arsenal (-148) gets it, they will be expected to go on and win the match. If Leicester scores first (+107), then they have the game to sit back and hit their hosts on the counter attack.
Prediction: Both teams to score (-155)
Arsenal players to consider for DraftKings DFS
Arsenal is looking to register a fourth successive clean sheet when they face Leicester. Replacement goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez ($7,000) has been superb deputizing for the injured Bernd Leno with three consecutive shutouts. Martinez averages 13.9 DFS points in his three starts and will hope to keep another clean sheet at the Emirates.
Bukayo Saka ($8,600) is only 18, but he has put in some mature performances lately, scoring 13 points or more in his last two away matches. After three goals in the Europa League and FA Cup, Saka scored his first ever EPL goal at Wolves to go alongside the three assists he had in his last six league appearances.
The future of Cedric Soares ($6,000) remains uncertain, but it’s not stopping him from playing the best football he can. He scored his first league goal of the season in the 4-0 win over Norwich, and if he is to leave the Emirates in the coming weeks, he is determined to leave the supporters with fond memories. Soares, who finished with 17.7 DFS points in Arsenal’s last home game, came off the bench to score in the 81st minute in that win over the Canaries and there may well be a late goal in this clash.
Joe Willock ($3,000) must be close to forcing his way into Mikel Arteta’s starting lineup. The 20-year-old has come off the bench in Arsenal’s last four EPL games, and he has managed to score against Southampton and provide an assist for Alexandre Lacazette ($8,400) to score his goal four minutes from time at Wolves on Saturday.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang ($11,800) was Arsenal’s match-winner in this fixture last season, scoring twice to seal a 3-1 win in which Leicester scored the opening goal. The forward scored 37.0 DFS points on his last appearance at the Emirates.
Prediction: Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to be anytime scorer (+108)
Leicester players to consider for DraftKings DFS
Leicester’s hopes of finishing third have been boosted by Jamie Vardy ($10,200) remembering how to score goals again. Vardy’s two goals against Palace were his 100th and 101st in the EPL and they keep him two goals clear at the top of the race to win the Golden Boot award. It has also increased his value. Vardy, who was linked to a move to Arsenal in the past, has a very good goal-scoring record against Arsenal with nine goals in his last nine starts, and a tenth could be his if Leicester can carry on where they left off against Crystal Palace.
Vardy was certainly helped by the presence of Kelechi Iheanacho ($7,400) alongside him in their attack. Iheanacho scored the Foxes’ other goal over the weekend to make it back-to-back games for the forward with at least one goal. Iheanacho, who has earned 32.8 points in the last two matches, is a cheaper option than Vardy, but on the road, Leicester may resort to having one forward in front of a five-man midfield. If that is to be the case, then that role will go to Vardy.
Vardy will hope for a steady supply of quality crosses from the likes of Harvey Barnes ($9,000), who also returned to form against Palace. Barnes ended the goals with two assists and with seven goals already this season, he is worth considering. England defender Ben Chilwell ($6,400) is another Foxes player to consider, not just for his defensive ability, but also his ability to link up with the attack with purpose. Chilwell has helped keep two shutouts in his last three games and has also got on the scoresheet twice in his last eight games.
Prediction: Jamie Vardy to be an anytime scorer (+165)
