The Miami Dolphins and Carolina Panthers will face off in a Madden sim Tuesday at 4:00 p.m. ET. We break down the ideal Showdown lineup strategy for the DFS contest that will be played in the snow. You can set your lineup and play in the DraftKings contest before kickoff.

Captain’s Pick

DeVante Parker ($13,500)

My guess is ownership at Captain in this contest will be spread out a bit. We should see a decent amount of Cam Newton lineups, plus a lot of Christian McCaffrey and D.J. Moore. The Dolphins are always interesting in that respect. Parker could be high owned all-around, but if he goes slightly overlooked, that’s perfect. Few WRs have the ceiling Parker possesses in Madden.

Fade of the Game

Running backs

I throw out the RBs only fade every so often. CMC is going to cost a ton and be very chalky. His production hasn’t been nearly as consistent in Madden sims compared to RL. The Dolphins don’t really have any running back to worry about and the Panthers have Luke Keuchly. So I’m fine looking at mostly WRs and TEs to fill out my lineup.

Value Picks

Jarius Wright ($2,200) — Wright is almost always a solid value pick as a cheap WR in the slot. He’s got a solid matchup against Miami and that only makes his ceiling better. Wright could be chalky, but he’s going to be a great value option to get up and pay for Parker at Captain.

Patrick Laird ($1,600) — Of course I’d tell you to fade RBs and then recommend a RB, I’m keeping y’all on your toes here. Laird is more of a WR than RB since his value is in the passing game. Anything he gets on the ground is a bonus.
