UPDATE: Fight day odds and betting splits for Paiva-Zhumagulov

A young flyweight looking to stay in the UFC takes on a promotion newcomer when Raulian Paiva takes on Zhalgas Zhumagulov at UFC 251 this Saturday on “Fight Island” in the United Arab Emirates.

The Brazilian Paiva is 19-3 in MMA, but 1-2 in the UFC after getting his first win over Mark De La Rosa in February via knockout. He tends to go the distance when he wins, with just four KO’s and three submission wins in his career. While dishing out 4.81 strikes per minute, he’s only successfully completed one takedown in his UFC career. He’s also parried 79% of takedown shots attempted.

Zhumagulov makes his UFC debut after winning his last four fights in the Fight Night Global promotion. All four of those fights went the distance, three of them for five rounds, but he does have six knockouts and one submission on his 13-3 career record. The 31-year-old from Kazakhstan has been fighting in MMA since September of 2014, and has only been stopped early once as a professional.
