The NASCAR Cup Series wrap up this weekend with the Quaker State 400 on Sunday at Kentucky Speedway . The race will begin at 2:30 p.m. ET and can be seen on FS1.
The starting grid for the Quaker State 400 will be determined by random draws that account for where each driver stands in the points race.
Here’s the complete breakdown of how NASCAR will run things for Sunday’s race.
- Positions 1-12: Random draw from charter teams in those positions in owner points
- Positions 13-24: Random draw from charter teams in those positions in owner points
- Positions 25-36: Random draw from charter teams in those positions in owner points
- Positions 37-40: Open, non-chartered teams in order of owners points
Kyle Busch claimed the pole for this race, and is joined on the front row by Joey Logano. Stewart-Haas teammates Kevin Harvick and Aric Almirola are in the second row, followed by Alex Bowman and Brad Keselowski in the third row.
Harvick is the favorite on DraftKings SportsBook at +450 after securing his fourth win of the season at the Big Machine 400 on Sunday, The Cup Series points leader hasn’t won at Kentucky in nine starts, but does have six top 10s and one top five at the venue.
Martin Truex Jr. (+600) has the second best odds and is looking to rebound after not finishing his last race. He’s won twice at Kentucky since 2017, and only Keselowski (+700) has more career Cup Series wins at Kentucky. Truex is followed by winless Kyle Busch (+650), who has also won two races at the venue. Whether he can get back on track with a victory remains to be seen, but he has a good chance to be in the hunt.
