The NBA is moving closer and closer to the restart of the season in Orlando. Teams have reported to the bubble in Disney World and training camps are set to begin on July 9, running through July 29 before scrimmages occur. After all of that, we’ll get basketball! DraftKings Sportsbook has win totals posted for each team’s eight-game regular-season schedule. We break down whether the Los Angeles Clippers.
Will the Clippers go over or under their win total?
Over 5.5 -143
Under 5.5 +110
Schedule: LAL, NOP, PHO, DAL, POR, BKN, DEN, OKC
The Clippers have a desirable schedule with a couple matchups that should result in easy wins. The Phoenix Suns won’t have Kelly Oubre Jr. against a team with elite wing scorers like Kawhi Leonard and Paul George, so that one’s gimme. Then there’s the Brooklyn Nets, who will be without Kyrie Irving, DeAndre Jordan, Spencer Dinwiddie, Taurean Prince and Kevin Durant this postseason. While they have begun to sign some fill-in players, they should be one of the most undermanned units in the field.
The Denver Nuggets are the only team on the Clippers’ schedule that’s beaten them twice this season. While Portland has gotten back Jusuf Nurkic, most of the other teams on tap haven’t added a ton of talent since the season was halted in March. The Clippers haven’t lost any personnel and could very well win seven or more games to close out the regular season.
Prediction: OVER 5.5 wins
