The MLS Is Back Tournament is expected to be down two teams moving forward. FC Dallas reportedly withdrew prior to the tournament due to numerous Covid-19 positive tests. Now, Nashville SC is joining them, according to The Athletic’s Paul Tenorio.

Nashville was scheduled to play on Wednesday evening, but the match was indefinitely postponed due to five positive Covid-19 tests and four others being retested due to inconclusive results. All four retests came back positive, according to the Nashville Tennessean.

Nashville was moved to the Eastern Conference for the tournament and was placed in the six-team Group A. Dallas was placed in the four-team Group B as part of the Western Conference. There is no word yet on if MLS will move a Group A team to Group B to balance this out.
