Utah Jazz guard Jordan Clarkson was bound to be a hot DFS commodity after he lit up the New Orleans Pelicans in his seeding game debut this week, but he flopped against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Saturday. Utah lost 110-94, and Clarkson didn’t provide the scoring punch off the best that most though he would.
Clarkson tallied 11 points, 3 rebounds, and an assist in 24 minutes and tallied 18.75 DKFP. Most weren’t expecting him to drop off so much after racking up 37.3 DKFP in his last outing, but the Thunder’s length on the inside appeared to bother him. He shot an abysmal 23.5 percent from the field and had to work hard for almost every shot. His ownership percentage in the $200K to first GPP Saturday Shootaround on DraftKings is sky high at 54.6 percent. His underwhelming showing let down a ton of DFS players looking for premium chalk.
Donovan Mitchell ($6,900) was also a bit of a let down. The Jazz guard was 35.2 percent owned in the main GPP and only posted 18.25 DKFP after notching 41.8 DKFP in his last game.
