Donovan Mitchell ruled out Monday vs. Mavericks

Jazz PG is still dealing with a leg injury and will be held out to get some rest, like every other player in the NBA, apparently.

Utah Jazz PG Donovan Mitchell has been ruled out of Monday’s game vs. the Dallas Mavericks due to a leg injury. The Mavericks have already ruled out both Luka Doncic and Kristaps Porzingis, so really we’re losing any type of competitiveness in this contest.

The Jazz are expected to have everyone else healthy for this game, which means little to Dallas and a bit more for Utah. The Jazz have dropped down to the 6-seed in the West as of now. They’re only 0.5 games behind the Thunder and 1.5 games behind the Rockets for No. 4. So really, these last few games can change their seeding a bit. They clearly don’t care much about it though.

As for DFS plays, Mike Conley ($6,300), Joe Ingles ($5,200) and Jordan Clarkson ($4,400) should see a boost in usage in the back court with D-Mitch out. All three are decent GPP plays. I’d maybe consider Clarkson in cash but he’s more volatile than the other two in terms of ceiling/floor. I’d maybe look at Emmanuel Mudiay ($3,500) if this game gets out of hand. The Jazz should run away with this one, but we’ve seen some wacky games in the bubble.
