The San Diego Padres and Los Angeles Dodgers will play Thursday at 9:40 p.m. Righty Chris Paddack will take on lefty Julio Urias at Dodger Stadium. DraftKings will have Showdown DFS contests available for the matchup. We break down the ideal lineup strategy below, and you can play here.

Captain’s Picks

Julio Urias, P, Dodgers: $15,900

Both pitchers going tonight are good and worthy of starts, but we also have two strong hitting lineups, with the Padres hitting .339 wOBA and the Dodgers at .322 wOBA, ranking first and sixth in the league. The good news for Urias is that the Padres drop to 17th in wOBA against lefties, with the tenth worst K rate at 23 percent. Urias hasn’t quite found his stride yet, but of the Padres he’s faced in his career, he’s held them to a .207 OBP while striking out nine in 23 at bats.

Corey Seager, SS, Dodgers: $9,200

Lefties have been hammering Paddack so far this season for a .373 wOBA and 2.08 HR/9. It’s of course a small sample size and he will turn things around, but the Dodgers do have some good lefties that will make it tough on him. The lefty Seager has been a righty killer so far, but is dealing with a back issue. He is very close to returning and if he does, I’m ready to get him right back into my lineups.

Utility Picks

Edwin Rios, 1B/3B, Dodgers: $5,000

The lefty Rios has hit two homers and a double off righties in 15 at bats this season. In his brief work in the majors, he’s had 65 plate appearances against righties with a .417 wOBA and .400 ISO. If he gets the start, his upside has been shown with his power so far against righties and at his price, he’s worth the play.

Chris Taylor, 2B/SS, Dodgers: $5,600

Taylor has reverse splits so far in his career and that has held true this season. The righty has been awful against lefties with one hit in 16 plate appearances while putting up 12 hits in 37 at bats against righties with a .468 OBP and .412 wOBA.
