The 2020 NBA Playoffs begin on Monday, August 17th after the seeding round wrapped up the regular season with each team playing eight games in the bubble in Orlando. We started with 22 teams and now we’re down to the 16 teams that will compete for the 2020 NBA Championship. The first round of the playoffs kicks off with best-of-7 series in both the Western Conference and Eastern Conference.
The No. 3 seed Denver Nuggets take on the No. 6 seed Utah Jazz in a Western Conference first-round series inside the NBA bubble. The classic midwest rivalry is back in the first round after the Nuggets failed to take the 2-seed from the Clippers.
The Nuggets are +2500 to win it all on DraftKings Sportsbook, which is behind the Lakers, Clippers and Rockets in the West. The Jazz come in at +4500 to take home the title this season. The Nuggets are +1100 and Jazz are +1700 to come out of the West.
As for injuries, the Nuggets went most of the seeding round without its starting backcourt of Jamal Murray and Gary Harris. Will Barton has also been out with a knee injury. Murray returned to the lineup late last week, though Harris and Barton have remained out. It’s unclear if they will be ready for the first round.
Below is a run down of the Nuggets-Jazz series and how to watch it.
