The Texas Rangers and Colorado Rockies will play Friday at 8:40 p.m. ET. Righty Lance Lynn will face righty Ryan Castellani. We break down the ideal lineup strategy below, and you can play here.

Captain’s Picks

Nick Solak, 2B/OF, Rangers: $11,700

The Rangers Lance Lynn is pitching extremely well this season, but I’m still not comfortable starting him in Colorado. Rookie Ryan Castellani has only pitched four innings in the majors and has yet to give up a run, but ZIPS projections had him at 1.68 HR/9 after giving up 14 home runs in 43.1 AAA innings last season. Solak has been on fire of late and is hitting righties well, with 10 hits in 32 at bats and has eight hits over his last 18 at bats.

Utility Picks

Shin-Soo Choo, OF, Rangers: $7,400

The lefty Choo is still going and still hitting right-handed pitching well. He has two homers in 32 at bats and is hitting a .333 wOBA against righties, the second best on the team. He has more pop than Solak, so I could see going with him in the Captain’s slot as well.

Garrett Hampson, OF, Rockies: $8,600

The Rockies have plenty of hitters hitting well at home right now. Lynn is going to be tough, even in the mile high air, but Garrett Hampson has been torching righties since getting more at bats. He has three doubles, two triples and a home run in 22 at bats against righties and is hitting them for a .409 average.

Charlie Blackmon, OF, Rockies: $10,800

The lefty Blackmon has been on absolute fire of late and is my favorite to get to Lynn tonight. Nolan Arenado has also been nearly impossible to get out, and makes for a great start, but the price tags are adding up fast.
