It’s a bantamweight battle as John Dodson faces one of the most prolific mat wrestlers in the UFC in Merab Dvalishvili on Saturday night in Las Vegas. But for this UFC 252 bout, is there a DFS advantage?

DraftKings DFS Salaries

John Dodson: $7,500
Merab Dvalishvili: $8,700

Dvalishvili is a strong money line favorite at -240, making Dodson a +188 underdog.

Normally a fighter that has an 11-4 record with eight decisions would be a reason to avoid in DFS, but Merab Dvalishvili is no ordinary fighter. He’s averaged 12.5 takedowns in his last two fights. He racked up an incredible 174 points in his last bout. He’s won his last four by decision, yet scored at least 92 points every time, and averaged 123.75 in those four outings. He’s an activity machine, with an absurd 8.67 takedowns per UFC bout average.

All that for just $400 over par salary value? Sign us up, especially against a competitor in Dodson that likes to go the distance himself (his last seven fights have needed the judges, and he’s 3-4 in them). Get on the mat and score with Merab, and we’ll have him on plenty of rosters tonight.
