DFS considerations for Chris Daukaus vs. Parker Porter

Two heavyweights that have never fought in the UFC before get in the cage as Chris Daukaus takes on Parker Porter. Can we find some DFS value to this bout?

Porter is favored on the money line as well at -124, which makes Daukaus at +100 even money.

So let us to stipulate that it’s very tough to get a gauge on fighters that haven’t been in the octagon before, and we’re going off highlight tape. Daukaus is also a cop in Philly, and being from the 215 we know how much that particular human tends to value toughness. As far as highlight tales here’s one for Daukaus, and we couldn’t find much for Porter beyond small clips.

Daukaus would seem to be the sharper side, as he’s 8-3 with seven knockouts, and his fights tend to be against competent humans. We also like that he weighed in at just 241 yesterday, having been as high as 262 in the past for fights. A UFC contract often gives fighters a chance to train more fully, and that might be the case here.

Porter is 9-5 with four KOs and four submissions, and appears to be deserving of his UFC shot as well. But we’ll go with the Philly kid with more first round stoppages.
