The 2020 NBA Playoffs begin on Monday, August 17th after the seeding round wrapped up the regular season with each team playing eight games in the bubble in Orlando. We started with 22 teams and now we’re down to the 16 teams that will compete for the 2020 NBA Championship. The first round of the playoffs kicks off with best-of-7 series in both the Western Conference and Eastern Conference.
After defeating the Memphis Grizzlies in the play-in tournament, the Portland Trail Blazers clinched the No. 8 seed and will meet the No. 1 seed Los Angeles Lakers in the first round of the 2020 NBA Playoffs. The Lakers won the best record in the West after going 52-19. The Blazers had to go 6-2 to get a spot in the play-in tournament, only needing one win over Memphis to advance.
