The Los Angeles Lakers are looking to follow up Thursday’s 111-88 rout of the Portland Trail Blazers on Saturday to take a 2-1 lead in the first-round series. Portland was overmatched after shocking the world by upsetting the Western Conference favorites in Game 1, but now the Lakers have some momentum. We’ll go over how to attack Showdown contests centered around the contest on DraftKings below. Set your DraftKings lineup here.
Anthony Davis ($16,200) was easily the best fantasy player in this series on Thursday when tallying 31 points and 11 rebounds in Game 2 to tally 55.3 DKFP in 29 minutes. He carried a large workload while LeBron James was cold and could use this momentum to put together another quality performance. He’s cracked 50 DKFP twice in the playoffs.
CJ McCollum ($12,600) is still looking to find his rhythm and could be more of a focal point should Damian Lillard struggle because of his dislocated finger. He’s shooting 38 percent from the field in the postseason and is about due for a big game. Captaining him allows you to fit Davis, James, and Lillard in the flex. If Game 3 is a blowout like Game 2, this method could prove to be successful.
Rajon Rondo ($1,400) has been medically cleared to play and is dirt cheap. He’s listed as questionable for Saturday but could give the Lakers some valuable minutes at point guard if gets minutes. His passing skills are in high demand on a team that’s lacking ball handlers.
Zach Collins has been ruled out for the season because of an ankle injury, and that means Hassan Whiteside ($5,600) is bound to have a larger role. The big man is averaging more than 1 DKFP per minute against the Lakers and will be needed to combat the opposition’s size advantage.
