The 104th running of the Indianapolis 500 is set to run this weekend. The race is set to kick off Sunday at 1:00 p.m. ET and will take place at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Bettors are putting money down on who they think will take the checkered flag in the storied race on DraftKings Sportsbook, and we’ll go over the splits here.

IndyCar Series points leader Scott Dixon is the favorite to win at +400 and bettors are leaning on him heavily. Dixon leads all drivers with 17 percent of the handle and 11 percent of the total bets. While he does have more wins (3) than any other driver in the series this year and five championships under his belt, he’s only won the Indy 500 once — in 2008.

Marco Andretti is second to Dixon in the odds at +800. While he’s had a very successful career, he’s never managed to win the Indy 500. He came close in 2006 as a rookie and only finished .0635 behind the winner. Andretti is second to Dixon in handle percentage (9) and percentage of total bets (9).

Alexander Rossi (+800) found success at Indianapolis as a rookie in 2016 and has 9 percent of the handle and 7 percent of the total bets. Other active drivers who have won include 2019 winner Simon Pagenaud (+1100), Ryan Hunter-Reay (+1000), and Will Power (+1300). Ed Carpenter (+2500) and Hélio Castroneves (+3000) stands out as the public’s favorite longshot bets. They have 6 percent and 4 percent of handle, respectively.
