The Boston Celtics and Toronto Raptors will meet in the second round of the 2020 NBA Playoffs. Both teams completed early sweeps in the first round. The Celtics knocked out the division rival Philadelphia 76ers, while the Raptors took down the No. 7 seed Brooklyn Nets, both on Sunday, August 23rd. As a result of the matchup being decided, the NBA has decided to roll right into the second round of the playoffs starting Thursday, August 27th.
The No. 2 Raptors will go up against the No. 3 Celtics in the second round. It will be the first ever meeting between the two franchises in the playoffs. We’ve got some betting lines up on DraftKings Sportsbook for the series. As of now, the Celtics are +125 and the Raptors are -152 to win the second-round series. Obviously, we’ll need to wait and see what the status of Kyle Lowry is before making any predictions. The fact lines are posted before any update on Lowry’s status for Game 1 on Thursday is surprising. As for Game 1, that line right now favors the Raptors by 2 points. The over/under is only 216.5, which seems pretty low. The moneyline is Boston +108 and Toronto -127 to start off.
