The 2020 Kentucky Derby is set to take place on Saturday, September 5, and Belmont champion Tiz The Law is a sizable favorite. The horse won the first leg of the Triple Crown at the Belmont Stakes in June and is considered to be the favorite to win the second leg, according to DraftKings Sportsbook oddsmaker Johnny Avello.
Tiz The Law has four major wins this year — Champagne Stakes, Holy Bull Stakes, Florida Derby, Travers Stakes — to go along with the win at Belmont. He is viewed as a fairly sizable favorite at Churchill Downs, giving him a serious shot at sweeping the Triple Crown. The last horse to win all three races was Justify, in 2018.

The Kentucky Derby is usually the first leg of the Triple Crown series and runs in May and is followed by the Preakness Stakes and the Belmont Stakes.
