Tale of the tape for Yana Kunitskaya vs. Julija Stoliarenko

Two women’s bantamweights looking to get in the mix for the heavier of Amanda Nunes’ two championship belts step in the octagon on Saturday when Yana Kunitskaya faces Julija Stoliarenko at UFC Fight Night on ESPN+ live from Las Vegas.

Kunitskaya is ranked #8 in the division with a 12-5 record, 2-2 in the UFC. The 30-year-old from Murmansk, Russia has eight career stoppages, seven of them by knockout, and lands 5.05 strikes per minute while in the octagon. Add in her 2.39 takedowns per full fight with a 53% accuracy, and her stats should favor DFS players, especially as the favorite in the matchup.

Stoliarenko is 9-3-2, but has won five straight fights mostly on the King of Kings and Invicta circuits. Eight of her career wins are by submission, and her loss to Leah Letson in the Ultimate Fighter finale of November 2018 is her last defeat. the 27-year-old from Lithuania hasn’t been stopped since March of 2015.
