Tracking Tiger Woods’ performance at the 2020 PGA Championship

Tiger Woods is in action this week for the PGA Championship, and we’ll be following along for as long as he is playing.

Tiger Woods is returning to action on Thursday at the 2020 PGA Championship, marking his second tournament since the PGA Tour resumed play. This marks his first major tournament since missing the cut at the 2019 British Open. He missed the cut at last year’s PGA Championship, but finished second the previous year.

Woods is teeing off with Rory McIlroy and Justin Thomas on Thursday and Friday as one of the tournament’s featured groups. The trio gets underway on Thursday at 11:33 a.m. ET at the tenth hole. On Friday, the trio tees off at 4:58 p.m. at the first hole. ESPN+ will be tracking the featured groups all day Thursday, and likely will do the same for this group on Friday. ESPN will have extensive coverage as well, but ESPN+ will have the greater amount.

Bettors are once again backing Tiger in a big way. He’s got longer odds than heading into the Memorial, sitting at +3300 to win the tournament and +4000 to be the leader after Round 1. Heading into the first day of the tournament, he’s tied with Xander Schauffele for second most handle, with 8 percent of the total. They trail Brooks Koepka, who is at 15 percent of the handle.

Suffice to say, Tiger remains a popular follow among bettors, and the general viewing public will be following him this week as long as he remains alive in the tournament. We’ll be tracking Tiger’s results in this article as long as he remains in it, with fingers crossed that he makes Friday’s cut.
