Two bantamweights will lift the lid on UFC Fight Night this Saturday as Irwin Rivera takes on Ali Alqaisi live from Las Vegas to open the broadcast on ESPN+ from the UFC Apex facility.

Rivera is 9-5 as an MMA fighter, and lost his only UFC contest so far in a unanimous decision to Giga Chikadze in Jacksonville on May 16th. In that fight he landed 34 significant strikes but took 61 and the only takedown of the bout belonged to his opponent. He has six stoppage wins on the independent circuit, most recently competing in the Legacy Fighting Alliance before joining the largest promotion.

Alqaisi is the first fighter from Jordan to be signed by Dana White. At 8-3 on the independent circuit with five stoppages, “The Royal Fighter” enters on a five-bout win streak. His last three wins were in the Brave Cage Fighting promotion, and at 5’8 he’ll have a bit of a reach advantage on his 5’6 opponent.
