The San Francisco Giants and Los Angeles Dodgers will play Friday at 9:40 p.m. ET. Righty Jeff Samardzija will face lefty Julio Urias of the Dodgers. DraftKings will have Showdown DFS contests available for the matchup. We break down the ideal lineup strategy below, and you can play here.

Captain’s Picks

Julio Urias, P, Dodgers: $16,800

Urias is set up well for a win, pitching at home on Friday against the Giants and Jeff Samardzija. Urias can hold his own as a pitcher, but even if he were just average, the Dodgers’ hitters get a good matchup while their bullpen far outshines the Giants bullpen so far this season. Urias is a safe cash game play.

Corey Seager, POS, Team: $12,600

Samardzija has pitched twice this season and given up five earned runs in each game, including three home runs in 9.2 total innings. He’s also struck out just two batters in that time. Add in the bullpen’s trouble this season and we have to go with a Dodgers stack here. In his career, lefties have a 1.31 HR/9 and a .328 wOBA. That brings us lefty Seager, who is smacking righties around this season for a .459 wOBA and .294 ISO

Utility Picks

Joc Pederson, OF, Dodgers: $7,800

Pederson has been fairly average this season, but is coming of a huge two homer, five RBI game in San Diego and has three homers over his last three games. He’s hit Samardzija well in his career and has hit righties overall since 2016 for a .285 ISO and .371 wOBA.

Chris Taylor, OF/SS, Dodgers: $6,000

Taylor is batting .382 against his fellow righties this season, with four doubles, two homers and nine runs. The power isn’t where we’d like it, especially compared to his teammates, but he has a .471 OBP and .432 wOBA against righties, giving him some safety in a good matchup.
