The New York Yankees and Tampa Bay Rays will play Friday at 6:40 p.m. ET. Righty Masahiro Tanaka takes on lefty Blake Snell. DraftKings will have Showdown DFS contests available for the matchup. We break down the ideal lineup strategy below, and you can play here.

Captain’s Picks

Aaron Judge, 1B, Yankees: $15,900

Lefty Snell has yet to go over three innings as the Rays stretch him out. He hopes to go 4-5 innings in this game, but did give up two home runs and two doubles, all to righties, in his last start. Judge has been mashing the ball with seven home runs and 17 RBIs in 11 games. He’s also a lefty killer, hitting a .436 wOBA and .312 ISO against them over the last three seasons. Snell is a stud, but is, as most lefties are, worse against righties.

Utility Picks

Joey Wendle, 2B/3B, Rays: $5,000

Wendle is coming off his best game of the season, as he went 3-for-4 with a triple and a stolen base. The lefty has hit righties well so far, with a 1.143 OPS and .487 wOBA. He’s not driving in many runs, but for his price, he makes for a safer value play.

Austin Meadows, OF, Rays: $9,800

Meadows debuted two games ago and got off to a fast start, going 2-for-4 with a triple, one RBI and one run scored. He didn’t fair as well in his other game, but neither did his teammates, as they were shutout. As a southpaw, Meadows hits righties well. Over his last three seasons, he has a .242 ISO and .374 wOBA against them, while also giving some extra sauce with a stolen base here and there.

Luke Voit, 1B, Yankees: $6,400

Voit has four homers this season, with a .690 SLG and 1.012 OPS. He’s a lefty facing a lefty, but that hasn’t been a problem for him in his career. He has a .273 ISOand .374 wOBA against southpaws while sporting a .223 ISO and .372 wOBA against righties in his career.
