Markieff Morris starts in place of JaVale McGee for Game 4 vs. Rockets

The Los Angeles Lakers made a lineup move for the first time this postseason by inserting Markieff Morris in for JaVale McGee ahead of Game 4 vs. the Houston Rockets on Thursday night. This isn’t a shocking move considering McGee has been banged up and really wasn’t playing too many minutes anyway.

Through the second round, McGee had played a total of 26 minutes in three games. He has been dealing with an ankle injury, which has clearly held him back. It also doesn’t make sense for McGee to be on the floor anyway. The Rockets have no size and McGee can’t stretch the floor like Morris, who made 4 three-pointers in Game 2 for 16 points. Morris was only $3,200 on the Showdown slate on DraftKings. He’s 47.1% owned in the $20 GPP and should see high ownership throughout contests tonight.
