Two up-and-coming women’s bantamweights will be the top women’s prelim bout for UFC Vegas 10 this Saturday. The fight will be between No. 15 Sijara Eubanks and No. 14 Julia Avila.
Avila will be a heavy favorite as she has just one loss on her UFC career. With a record of 8-1, the “Raging Panda” Avila has four knockouts and three submissions. About 18 months ago, she defeated Pannie Kianzad who currently sits No. 13 in the bantamweight division. Avila has fought once since then and is looking at her second fight this year. Standing 5-foot-4, this will be a huge opportunity for the 32-year-old to approach the top ten.
It will be no easy victory if Sijara Eubanks has any say in the fight. Eubanks, also known as SARJ, is 5-4 in her UFC career. However, with 4.95 significant strikes per round, Eubanks is an aggressive fighter. She likes to takedown more than Avila as well so that could factor into the flow of the fight. Eubanks last fight was in May, but she did win, snapping a two-fight losing streak.
This fight, on paper, should be a thriller. Both are over 30 and fighting to keep their UFC careers alive. This will be the fight before the prelim finale between Tyson Nam vs. Matt Schnell.
Here are the betting odds at DraftKings Sportsbook for Julia Avila vs. Sijara Eubanks at UFC Fight Night on September 12th.
