Even without a preseason to give the rookie a taste of something reasonably close to an actual NFL game, the Denver Broncos saw enough in training camp from first-round pick Jerry Jeudy to make him their No. 2 wide receiver. While that’s a good sign for his future in the league, the question fantasy owners are wondering is whether or not Jeudy’s had enough work to be a difference maker in Week 1 against the Titans.
Fantasy Football analysis: Denver Broncos, WR, Jerry Jeudy
The Broncos offense suddenly has a lot of mouths to feed. Beyond Jeudy, wide receiver KJ Hamler, another rookie, made waves in camp too. There’s also tight end Noah Fant and a pair of quality running backs in Melvin Gordon and Phillip Lindsay. But all eyes are on Jeudy, by virtue of his first-rounder status and impressive college production at Alabama.
Jeudy may have a shot to prove himself this week. Courtland Sutton, the team’s No. 1 receiver, banged up his shoulder in practice on Thursday. He’s now considered day-to-day, leaving some question about whether or not he’ll play. And if he does play, just how effective he’ll be with a wounded wing.
It’s not a bad week to take a flyer on Jeudy, unless you have more established options for your WR2 or Flex spot.
