The Detroit Lions listed wide receiver Kenny Golladay doubtful with a hamstring for its Week 1 matchup with the Chicago Bears. In addition, receiver Danny Amendola also has a hamstring injury and is listed as questionable according to the Lions’ Friday injury report.
Golladay was a limited participant in Wednesday’s practice but did not practice on Thursday and Friday. As for Amendola, he was a limited participant in the team’s last three practices. Golladay and Amendola were two of the team’s top three receivers in 2019 along with Marvin Jones. Each player has their strength in what is a solid NFL receiving corps.
Fantasy impact: It looks unlikely at this point but even if Golladay plays, he will likely not be 100% healthy and should be considered a roll-of-the-dice play should he suit up. No matter what happens, it’s unlikely Amendola will be needed in very many fantasy lineups as he does not rack up points consistently enough to have much fantasy value. The main beneficiary of the two injuries might be Jones, who will surely be the focal point for Matthew Stafford, whose stock also should take a hit with the injuries to two of his top receivers.
