There are some defenses widely available that either have good matchups heading into Week 2. With that in mind, here are three D/STs with under 50% ownership at traditional fantasy football leagues that managers can consider picking up in their leagues.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers (24 percent)
The Buccaneers defense played well against the Saints on Sunday despite the final score. They should have a better shot at putting up defensive numbers at home against the Carolina Panthers. They go into this matchup as nine-point favorites and there’s no way they take the Panthers lightly, as Tom Brady and company want to get their offense going this week.
Tennessee Titans (50 percent)
Gardner Minshew might end up being a player we don’t want to target this season, but the Jaguars don’t have the personnel to truly compete consistently.
Washington Football Team (4 percent)
Washington manhandled a depleted Eagles offensive line on Sunday, sacking Carson Wentz eight times. This week they take on a Cardinals offensive line that continues to be below average. This isn’t a great spot against the speed of Kyler Murray, but Washington’s defensive line with the addition of Chase Young could be special.
