Veteran running back Frank Gore will get the starting nod against the 49ers on Sunday with Le’Veon Bell out due to an ankle injury, per San Jose Mercury’s Cam Inman.
#Jets coach Adam Gase says RB Frank Gore to start vs #49ers:

"He looks the same (as 49ers days). It's unreal to watch. This is my third stint with him. You see the same Frank. He just shows up, works hard, practices hard. You can tell he just loves the game so much."
Gore shared work with Josh Adams on Sunday and rookie La’Mical Perine could return from a sprained knee this Sunday. The 27-year old running back will also face the team he came into the league with, the San Francisco 49ers. The 49ers defensive line remains one of the better units in the league and with touches likely spread around, Gore should have a tough time putting up fantasy numbers. But, he is the most-likely to find the end zone and is worth a flex play if needed.
Gore was drafted by the 49ers in the third round all the way back in 2004. He spent ten seasons with the team before moving on to the Colts, then Dolphins, Bills and now with the Jets. Now in his 16th season, he is still going strong and taking down records.
