Thursday update: Crowder is not practicing on Thursday, according to reporter Brian Costello. If this stands as DNP and not limited, it is a downgrade from Wednesday.
The New York Jets’ questionable group of pass catchers has taken a hit heading into Week 2. Wide receiver Jamison Crowder was listed as limited on the team’s Wednesday practice with a hamstring injury, according to reporter Manish Mehta.
The injury notable, according to Mehta, because head coach Adam Gase did not mention anything about it before practice. Gase could be playing coy, but as Mehta tweeted, it could be a practice injury.
Last Sunday, Crowder was one of the few bright spots for the Jets offense. He caught a team high seven passes for 115 yards and one touchdown. Breshad Perriman was the only other receiver to catch a pass, finishing with three receptions for 17 yards. Tight end Chris Herndon was the more active pass catcher, finishing with six receptions for 37 yards.
