Wondering why some Ohio State Buckeyes were so set on playing football this Fall despite the Covid-19 fears of their conference mates? Because with Justin Fields at quarterback and five-star athletes all over the gridiron, Ryan Day and his team slot in as the second-favorite to win the College Football Playoff this season.

We won’t have a schedule from the B1G until later this week, but assuming that teams will play at least a round-robin of their usual East division foes, the Buckeyes will be challenged by both Penn State and Michigan on their way to what is expected to be their fourth-consecutive Big Ten Championship Game on December 19th.

Sean Clifford returns at quarterback from last year’s 11-2 team that finished #9 in the AP Poll and won the Cotton Bowl 53-39 over Memphis. James Franklin helmed the last non-OSU team from the East to make it to Indianapolis, and won the conference trophy in 2016.

The Michigan Wolverines have lost eight in a row to the Buckeyes, and are listed at 40-1 to get by them on the way to winning the Playoff. Jim Harbaugh was one of the most vocal proponents of the return of football, but this will be his sixth attempt at beating his alma mater and employer’s eternal rival. The

We’ve bolded the Big Ten teams below so you can see where they slot in now that they’ll be eligible, and keep in mind you won’t be able to bet on Rutgers here because DraftKings is based in New Jersey. We’re really sorry about that, but if you want the same experience you are certainly free to use a Bic lighter and just burn whatever cash you were intending to wager, as the fleeting warmth you’ll receive has more value than any ticket you could purchase.

Here are the odds to win the 2020 College Football Playoff.
